REIWA’s Property Management Network held its Christmas breakfast at Burswood on 11 December, with a talk from colorful businesswoman Bree Maddox.
Following the annual Christmas breakfast, it has been past practice for the Network to then invite popular Catholic charity worker ’Father Brian’ to be on hand to collect gifts which members donate to needy children.
Regrettably, following a recent accident Fr. Brian was unable to attend but this year sent along a couple of helpers.
The helpers were confronted by a mountain of more than 200 wrapped gifts for children aged between 0 and 12 years.
Network co-ordinator Hilary Purdue said members were very supportive of the charity and loved donating the gifts every Christmas.
Father Brian and his charity workers were overwhelmed by the group’s generosity.
The jolly priest got in touch with the Network shortly after the delivery to express his thanks.
"I can’t express enough my thanks and appreciation for this tremendous gesture. It’s just overwhelming," he said.
Ms Purdue wished Fr. Brian all the best after his recent accident.
"The Property Managers’ Network takes great delight in helping him and his cause, and being able to give something back to the community at this time of year," she said.
